Golf Cart Safety Awareness
Golf Carts are used around the world as a means of transportation on golf courses, in neighborhoods, and at businesses. With the increase in popularity there has unfortunately been a rise in accidents related to this type of vehicle. Often this is due to misuse of the golf cart. The Bo Cipra Foundation knows this all too well and we would like to spread the awareness of golf cart safety to help prevent future tragedies.
Key Safety Tips
Be Responsible
Do not operate the vehicle under the influence or if you are too tired
There should not be more passangers than there are seats on the cart
No one should be standing on any part of the cart while it is in use
Read the safety instructions installed on the cart – they are there for a reason
Go the speed limit assigned for the cart
When driving the cart at night ensure the cart lights are on
If you do not have turn signals or lights, it is not safe to drive at night
What Drives Us
Our History
The Bo Cipra Foundation was created by his loved ones to honor the life he lived. Bo was abruptly taken from us in a tragic accident in April of 2022 while on a trip to play the game he loved. The accident that claimed his life was caused by the misuse of a golf cart and this foundation intends to educate the public on ways to prevent such an accident. This foundation was formed in order to honor his life, promote safety on and around the golf course, and to assist the families of others who find themselves in a similar position.

4/28/2025 - BO CIPRA GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Bo Cipra Foundation honors Bo Cipra’s life by providing financial and emotional support to petroleum industry families who have lost their primary provider. It also reflects his passion for golf by promoting safety on the course and supports Texas-based charities close to his heart.
